Offshore Energy

DELIVERING DATA. DRIVING DECISIONS

Monitor. Measure. Analyse. Underwater technology enabling offshore energy operators to assure assets, mitigate risk and make better decisions for the life of their developments.

No challenge too deep. For more than 25 years, Develogic technology has been supporting safe and efficient offshore energy projects.

Safe and efficient offshore energy operations in oil, gas and renewables depend on continuous, accurate data from the subsea environment. Whether monitoring seafloor subsidence, structural integrity, tracking environmental conditions or maintaining communication links with distributed seafloor infrastucture, the quality of your decisions is only as good as the quality of your data.

That’s where we come in. Develogic designs and engineers subsea monitoring and wireless communication systems built for the long-term demands of offshore energy developments – whether deployed in shallow coastal wind farms or deep-water oil and gas developments.

Life-of-field subsea technology

Engineered to support every phase of your energy project, from site survey to decommissioning.

Reliable long-term monitoring is fundamental to every CCS project. Develogic subsea instruments provide continuous measurements throughout the water column, with secure acoustic data transfer to the surface. The result is verified, long-duration datasets that support leak detection, plume monitoring and the regulatory evidence required throughout the life of a storage site.

Deep sea mining operations rely on dependable communication between the surface and the seabed. Develogic’s acoustic command and telemetry systems provide reliable, low-latency links with subsea equipment, while simultaneously transmitting environmental monitoring data. This enables operational control, safety monitoring and environmental compliance through a single underwater communications network.

The long-term performance of floating wind structures depends on understanding what is happening below the surface. Develogic’s remote monitoring systems track the condition of mooring lines, anchors and subsea infrastructure, transmitting data acoustically without permanent cabling. Operators gain continuous, low-power visibility of asset health from installation through decades of operation.

Protecting critical offshore infrastructure starts with knowing its condition. Develogic integrates with third-party sensors across pipelines, risers, wellheads and other subsea assets, collecting, processing and transmitting integrity data from coastal waters to the deepest offshore environments. Continuous monitoring enables earlier intervention, reduces inspection costs and helps maximise asset life.

ENERGY PROJECTS IN ACTION

Cook Islands Exploration

Exploring the Cook Islands’ polymetallic nodule deposits, among the world’s largest, demands dependable control of subsea equipment at depths up to 5,300 metres. Develogic supplied an acoustic command and telemetry system wirelessly linking a research vessel to subsea equipment under evaluation, transmitting data from the seafloor to the surface. Operators gained reliable remote control, equipment status and environmental monitoring in one system – improving efficiency and supporting safe, compliant exploration in remote offshore environments.

ENERGY PROJECTS IN ACTION

Offshore asset protection

Develogic has supplied underwater collision-warning systems for several energy installations located in German waters. Sonartransponders were installed directly onto jacket leg and monopiles, where they continuously monitored for the presence of submarines and uncrewed underwater vehicles. When interrogated, each transponder transmits a BSH-compliant acoustic warning, enabling vehicles to identify and avoid fixed seabed infrastructure.
