DELIVERING DATA. SECURING THE BATTLESPACE

Secure underwater communications and intelligent surveillance systems — built to perform in the most demanding operational domain.

Navies and defence organisations trust Develogic to deliver persistent situational awareness in contested undersea battlespaces.

From the High North to the Middle East, the underwater domain has never been more strategically significant. As threats grow more distributed and autonomous, the ability to communicate, monitor and act beneath the surface is no longer an advantage – it’s a necessity.

Develogic delivers military-grade acoustic communication, navigation and monitoring systems engineered for the full spectrum of naval and defence operations. Reliable under pressure. Secure by design. Built to perform wherever the mission takes you.

Transforming undersea capability

From distributed sensor networks to underwater communications, our systems are engineered for your missions.

Persistent underwater surveillance relies on systems that can be covertly deployed and remain hidden while continuing to collect valuable intelligence. Develogic’s low-power seafloor instruments operate autonomously for extended periods, detecting, recording and transmitting acoustic and environmental data on schedule or on demand. From shallow littoral waters to the deep ocean, navies maintain situational awareness without exposing valuable assets.

Maintaining communications below the surface is critical to mission success. Develogic’s wireless acoustic and optical modems provide secure, encrypted, long-range, high bandwidth communications between seafloor nodes, submerged vehicles, surface assets and remote operational centres. Reliable command, control and status updates support covert operations without compromising domain advantage.

Modern underwater operations depend on moving data efficiently from the seabed to the surface. Develogic’s acoustic gateway systems, including buoys and USVs, connect seafloor instruments with topside command centres, aggregating information from multiple sensors and delivering structured data through the water column in near real time. Commanders gain timely access to mission-critical information without recovering assets or installing permanent infrastructure.

Detecting and understanding the underwater environment starts with high-quality acoustic data. Develogic’s easy-to-deploy recorder systems capture broadband acoustic signatures across tactically relevant frequency ranges, whether deployed as fixed installations or mobile arrays. Data can be stored locally or transmitted acoustically, providing a dependable foundation for intelligence, surveillance and battlespace monitoring.

Naval underwater platforms are only as capable as the payloads they carry. Develogic provides the acoustic communications, sensing and data management technologies that enable ROVs, AUVs, SDVs and submarines to perform demanding defence and security missions. Whether supporting CSIP, covert ISR, force protection or SAR, our compact, low-power solutions integrate easily while meeting the demanding size, weight and power constraints of underwater vehicles.

DEFENCE CAPABILITY IN ACTION

SWAT-SHOAL Project

Develogic is contributing acoustic underwater navigation technology to the EU-funded SWAT-SHOAL programme, addressing operational requirements for underwater vehicles operations in GPS-denied maritime environments. The programme will validate navigation system performance across operationally representative scenarios. Develogic’s participation is  also supporting the consortium’s objective of enabling robust networking and data exchange between the different vehicles in an underwater swarm.

DEFENCE CAPABILITY IN ACTION

REPMUS Exercises

Develogic’s Nereus system was deployed in support of the NATO REPMUS exercise series, providing persistent seabed monitoring capability within a multinational naval trial environment. The participation assessed long-duration sensor performance, underwater acoustic data transmission, and system resilience under operationally representative conditions. Develogic’s contribution advanced collective understanding of autonomous seabed surveillance and its application to emerging underwater domain awareness requirements.

DEFENCE CAPABILITY IN ACTION

Secure comms link for UUV

Develogic supplied a secure acoustic communications link for a modular uncrewed underwater platform, enabling encrypted command, status reporting and data exchange throughout submerged operations. Designed for dependable performance in demanding environments, the system extended operational flexibility while maintaining low-power operation, allowing the vehicle to undertake complex inspection, MCM and survey missions with confidence and minimal operator intervention.

DEFENCE CAPABILITY IN ACTION

European CNI protection

As part of a European CNI protection programme, Develogic deployed an autonomous underwater acoustic monitoring system to surveil subsea cable infrastructure adjacent to an undisclosed offshore wind installation. The project required robust, long-endurance sensor capability in an operationally sensitive environment. Develogic’s solution provided continuous data acquisition and transmission, supporting threat detection and situational awareness for national infrastructure security stakeholders.
